1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Vedikks ("the Service"), operated by Vedikks Technologies ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.
2. Description of Service
Vedikks is a Vedic astrology (Jyotish) platform that provides personalised birth chart analysis, daily/weekly/monthly forecasts, and AI-powered astrological consultations based on your birth details. The Service is available via web browsers at vedikks.com and vedikks.in.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 may use the Service only under parental or guardian supervision.
4. User Accounts
You register via your mobile phone number, which serves as your unique identity. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activities under it. You agree to provide accurate birth details for chart calculations.
5. Subscription Plans & Payments
Vedikks offers free and paid subscription plans. Free users receive a limited number of questions. Paid plans ("Vedikks Plus" and question packs) are billed through Razorpay. All payments are in Indian Rupees (INR). Subscriptions auto-expire after the stated duration. No refunds are provided for partially used subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.
6. Nature of Astrological Content
Vedikks provides astrological readings for entertainment, informational, and spiritual exploration purposes only. Astrological readings are based on classical Vedic (Jyotish) traditions and mathematical calculations of planetary positions. They do not constitute professional advice — whether medical, legal, financial, or psychological. You should not make important life decisions based solely on astrological readings. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any prediction or forecast.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, algorithms, text, graphics, and software on the Service are owned by Vedikks Technologies and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
8. User Conduct
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer or extract source code; (c) share your account with others; (d) use automated tools to access the Service; (e) submit false birth data to generate charts for others without their consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vedikks Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that astrological readings will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
Vedikks is a Vedic astrology platform operated by Vedikks Technologies. Our websites are vedikks.com and vedikks.in. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
2. Information We Collect
Personal Information: Mobile phone number (for authentication), name, date of birth, time of birth, and birth city. These are essential for generating your Vedic birth chart.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including questions asked, features used, and session duration.
Device Information: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and IP address for analytics and service improvement.
Payment Information: Payment transactions are processed securely through Razorpay. We do not store your credit/debit card details on our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) generate personalised Vedic birth charts and astrological readings; (b) authenticate your account via OTP; (c) process payments for premium plans; (d) improve and personalise the Service; (e) communicate important updates about the Service.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) with industry-standard encryption. Birth chart data is stored in your browser's local storage for faster access. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage to save your chart data, preferences, and session information for a seamless experience. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. Google reCAPTCHA is used during authentication to prevent abuse.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: (a) Firebase Authentication for phone number verification; (b) Razorpay for payment processing; (c) Anthropic (Claude AI) for generating personalised astrological interpretations; (d) Google reCAPTCHA for spam prevention. These services have their own privacy policies.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with: (a) service providers who assist in operating the platform (Firebase, Razorpay, Anthropic); (b) law enforcement when required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your account and associated data; (d) withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. To exercise these rights, email vedikkssupport@gmail.com.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Birth chart data stored in local storage persists until you clear your browser data or sign out. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.
11. Sensitive Information
Birth details (date, time, place of birth) are considered sensitive personal information. We treat this data with the highest level of care and use it solely for the purpose of generating astrological readings.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Refund Policy

1. Question Packs (₹49 / ₹99)
Question packs are one-time purchases. If you face a technical issue that prevents you from using purchased questions (e.g. questions deducted without an answer), write to us within 7 days of purchase and we will restore the questions or refund the unused portion.
2. Vedikks Plus (₹199/month)
If something isn't right with your subscription, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we will work with you to resolve it — including a full refund where the Service failed to deliver what was promised. Refunds are not provided for partially used subscription periods once the Service has been delivered as described, except as required by applicable law.
3. How to request a refund
Email vedikkssupport@gmail.com from the account you used to pay, with your registered phone number and the payment reference. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Razorpay, typically within 5–7 business days.
4. Failed or duplicate payments
If a payment was deducted but your pack or subscription was not activated, it is usually auto-reversed by your bank within 5–7 business days. If not, contact us and we will trace it with Razorpay and make it right.
